On Nintendo Switch 2, No Man's Sky offers these performance modes. Handheld: Capped (1080p at 30 fps) and Unlocked (1080p with a variable frame rate). Docked: Capped (1440p at 30 fps) and Unlocked (1440p with a variable frame rate). The Switch 2 upgrade is free.

August 2025 Switch 2 review reports 1080p handheld / 1440p docked and a 30 FPS cap that can be disabled. Unlocked performance varies by scene; no fixed 40 or 60 FPS promise.

Later patches exist, so these are the latest usable mode measurements located, not a benchmark of the latest build.
